From the 8th of June 2020 libraries will begin resumption of service on a phased basis.

With regard to overdue books, you can renew your books online as usual but there's no need to worry: there are no late fines and we will be delighted to see you and your books back in our branches when we open again. Please contact your local Library Authority for local arrangements.
We have switched off online reserves until such time as soon as we can provide a full service safely for our staff and the public. If there are particular items you are interested in, please contact your local library authority and discuss you needs with the library staff locally. They will do their best to accommodate you as much as possible.
Any reserves you made before 16th March will be held for you and we will contact you to arrange time when you can collect them. All communications will be dealt with locally by phone and email.
If you have a library card you can start reading ebooks and listening to eaudio books straightaway, as explained here. If you don't have a library card, read on!
Library Cards Expiring
We have renewed all library cards that were due to expire in the near future so hopefully that won’t be a problem. If your card has expired please contact your local library authority or email: email@example.com
While some library services remain disrupted due to Coronavirus (COVID-19), you do not need to visit your local library to join before being able to use online services listed at https://www.librariesireland.ie/elibrary
Just fill out the online form. You'll get a temporary library number and you can set up a library PIN. With those, you'll be able to access the online services at www.librariesireland.ie/elibrary straightaway.
